The Pittsburgh Huskies U-16 AA hockey team won the International Silver Sticks Mid-Atlantic Regional recently, winning six straight games at the Iceline Quad Rinks in West Chester.

The Huskies defeated the West Chester Mariners 2-0, Long Island Rebels 5-1, Downingtown Glaciers 7-6, Long Island Rebels 8-1, West Chester Quakers 5-2 and New Jersey Colonials 3-1.

Dustin Davis had six goals and seven assists while Christian Miller added seven goals and five assists. Other goal scorers for the Huskies were Brandon Ritchey with three, Jason Edsall five, Matt Tomasovic, Eric Leya and Cam Lydick with four, Nick Whann with one.

Goalkeepers Cley Pujol and Clay Bachman combined to stop 50 of 61 shots.

The Huskies are now invited to compete with nine other United States and seven Canadian teams for the international championship in New Market, Ontario, in January.
