Butler Twp. PoliceTuesday — An unknown vandal or vandals overnight damaged a door and window at Preston Park. Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

State Police, Butler11:31 p.m. Wednesday — Lucas R. Clouse, 22, of Butler was uninjured after his motorcycle caught fire when he swerved to avoid a deer and slid a short distance on Route 68 just north of Eastwood Drive in Summit Township. Lucas was wearing a helmet.Wednesday — Police charged John P. Dobrowski, 22, of Evans City with drunken driving in connection with a one-vehicle crash about 2:50 a.m. May 5 on Prospect Road in Connoquenessing Township.In addition to driving under the influence, police cited Dobrowski for careless driving and disregarding traffic lanes.Wednesday — An unknown thief stole several wooden and metal surveying stakes that were in the ground and on the property of a woman’s home in the 900 block of Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township.3:23 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Kyrie K. Kauffman, 23, of Sunbury, Northumberland County, rear-ended a sport utility vehicle on the Route 528 on-ramp to Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.Police said Kauffman was cited for following too closely to another vehicle. Thomas S. Stetz, 55, of Mars was driving the SUV.Tuesday — A 1983 Tico utility trailer worth $1,000 was stolen while parked on I-79 at exit 83 in Jackson Township.The trailer was taken between 2 and 4:30 p.m.

State Police, Kittanning11:37 a.m. Saturday — Bradley S. Wiegand, 18, of Adrian was injured when the car he was driving crashed into an embankment, rolled over and hit a utility pole along Reesdale Road in East Franklin Township.Wiegand, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH near Kittanning with minor injuries.Wiegand, police said, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving.

State Police, Mercer5 p.m. Sunday — Cars driven by Catherine Wilson, 52, no address given, and Kara Mayberry, 19, no address given, collided on Route 208 in Springfield Township.3 a.m. Saturday — Daniel J. Swall, 24, of Cranberry Township was hurt when the car he was driving crashed and rolled onto its roof on Jarvis Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County.Swall, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury. Police said he was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

State Police, New Castle9:05 p.m. April 30 — Katelyn N. Hughes, 19, of Grove City was hurt when the sport utility vehicle she was driving struck an embankment and overturned on Route 19 in Scott Township. Hughes, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated at Jameson Hospital in New Castle for minor injuries. Police said she was cited for careless driving.
