SV girls now 3-0

Erin Danik scored nine points and also had nine rebounds as the Seneca Valley girls basketball team won again, 37-30, over Beaver Monday night.

The Raiders won their tip-off tournament over the weekend and are now 3-0.

McKenna Gross and Lexus Lambert added eight points each for Seneca Valley, which was 12-of-15 from the free throw line in the win.

Gross also had six steals for the Raiders.

WrestlingButler’s Caleb Baxter cruised through the 152-pound bracket at the 28-team Chartiers-Houston wrestling tournament over the weekend, earning a pin in the championship match for a first-place finish.The Golden Tornado finished third as a team behind champion South Fayette and runner-up Peters Township.Baxter was 4-0 in the tournament.Justin Johnson (195) also placed third for Butler.
