Breen nets 29 as CWNC girls win big, 69-25
Sam Breen poured in 29 points as Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic's girls basketball team crushed Aliquippa 69-25 in a WPIAL Class A first-round playoff Thursday night at Ambridge High School.
Kylie Huffman added 10 points for the Trojanettes, who led 30-9 at halftime.
CWNC (21-2) will face Riverview in the quarterfinals Saturday at a site and time to be determined.

Seneca Valley's Sophia Gaguzis won the 200 and 100-yard freestyle events as the Raider girls improved to 13-1 on the season with a 111-67 win over Butler.
Jillian McElhaney won the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke for the Golden Tornado (2-10).
In the boys' meet, SV's Nate Burkett captured the 100 freestyle and backstroke for the Raiders (10-4) in a 98-87 victory.
The quartet of Tukker Uniatowski, Joey Deemer, Nathan Callithen and Alex Deemer won the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays for Butler (9-4).

Butler's Mercedes Belch had a team-high 227 game and series of 558 to lead the Golden Tornado to a fourth-place finish at the WPIBL team championship at Paradise Island Bowl on Neville Island.

Ashley McCue added a single game of 203 for Butler.
