The 11-year-old Butler Township boys baseball team recently won the Blizzard Blast indoor tournament in Erie.
Members of the team included Luke Patton, Marshall Wheeler, Tate Mohney, Kevin King, John Piroch, John Ryan Herold, Bayden Davenport, Grant Metzger, Jake Slomers, Jake Cuny and Colby Anderson.
Ten different players scored to lead the Butler seventh-grade White boys basketball team to a 43-13 victory over Seneca Valley Black.Joel Stutz led the way with 11 points and Donovan Slater added seven for Butler (8-2), which hosts North Allegheny Carson Thursday.
Knoch's freshmen (3-5) suffered a 4-3 loss to Plum recently. Paul Maust had a goal and two assists, Harrison Brown and Sevryn Napora a goal each.Knoch plays Kittanning at 9:20 p.m. today at Belmont Arena.
Christian Sequete of Butler took second place in the 12-and-under 125-pound weight class at the annual Glenn Clark Memorial “Monster Trophy” Tournament at Mars High School.
