Laura Ankrom, a sophomore at Butler Intermediate High School, has been granted a full scholarship to attend Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week 2004 on the campus of Lycoming College in Williamsport.
Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week is a week-long economic education program that offers students an inside look at the private enterprise system and the way the free market functions.
She is the daughter of Rhonda Ankrom of Butler.

Amanda Krill of Butler recently received the outstanding achievement award in math, computer science and engineering award at the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford honors convocation.

Edward Desko of Butler recently received the academic honor scholarship for $11,000 from Anderson University in Anderson, Ind.
Desko is a senior at Knoch High School.

Renae Cashmere, a junior communication science and disorders major. She is the daughter of Edward and Jacqueline Cashmere of Fenelton and is a graduate of Butler High School.
Dara Peluso-Hoffman, a junior elementary education/early childhood major and the daughter of Pauline Peluso of Renfrew. She is a graduate of Butler High School.
Virginia Seybold, a graduate student seeking a master's degree in nursing, who lives in Grove City with her husband, Kevin.
