son of Karen and Charlie Love, was recently awarded the Crompton Scholarship Award worth $2,500 a year for four years.
He was presented the award by Jere Lillich, manager of Crompton's Petrolia plant.
A recent honors graduate of Butler High School, Love was a four-year member of the marching band and a band equipment manager. He was also a member of the "Hometown Hi-Q" team, the German club and the Model United Nations.
He has been accepted to the Honors Program at California (Pa.) University, where he plans to major in criminal justice.

son of Oliver and Nancy Hawk of Buffalo Township, was recently inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society at Kent State University.An advertising major, he recently completed his freshman year, serving as vice president of the Students of Scholarships club and receiving a leadership excellence award.
son of Patrick and Beth Harper of Butler, recently received the awards for most improved speaker and excellence in foreign language at Howe Military School.He was also named to the headmaster's list for academic excellence.
daughter of Shawn McAnerney of Cranberry Township and Karen McAnerny of Valencia, was recently awarded a $20,000 scholarship from the Kimberly-Clark Foundation.McAnerney is a recent graduate of Seneca Valley High School.
