Keener, Claquin

Katie Keener and Eric Claquin, both of Paris, were united in marriage in a civil ceremony on May 6 in Pertuis, France. André Borel, mayor of Pertuis, officiated. A religious ceremony followed at the Reformed Church of France in Lourmarin, France. The Rev. Andreas Seyboldt officiated. A reception followed at the Chateau de Lourmarin.

The couple then renewed their vows at 4 p.m. Aug. 13 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Prospect. The Rev. Gary Brown officiated. A reception was held at Camelot Banquet Hall in Warrendale.

The bride is the daughter of Jim Keener of Boalsburg and Mary Ellen Keener of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Huguette Claquin and Jacques Claquin, both of Pertuis.

Witnesses at the first ceremony included Valérie Montes and Laurent Claquin, both of Pertuis, and Isabelle Tardé and Rodrigo Irribarra, both of Paris.

At the renewal of vows, the matron of honor was Tracey Herzberger of Silver Spring, Md. Bridesmaids included Dlynn Higgins of Butler and Tiffany Arblaster of Slippery Rock. The flower girls were Anaïs Claquin of Pertuis and Victoria Gonzalez of Paris.

Performing the duties of best man was Laurent Claquin of Pertuis. The usher was Todd Herzberger of Silver Spring. Ring Bearers included Loïc Claquin of Pertuis and Gabriel Gonzalez of Paris.

The bride is a 1993 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and a 2002 graduate of Westminster College, where she received a bachelor of arts degree in French studies. She is employed at Alma College in Paris.

The groom graduated in 1986 from Lycée Vauvenargues d'Aix-en-Provence, in 1988 from Aix-en-Provence, receiving a bachelor's degree in computer science and in 1998 from the ISSEC Business School, receiving a master's degree in information systems management. He works for MCI in Paris.

Following a honeymoon trip to San Francisco, the couple is residing in Paris.
