Tuesday — A large, black purse was reported stolen from a car parked at an apartment in the 400 block of Shore Street. The purse, which contained a wallet, $60, gift cards and other items, was taken between 10:45 and 11 a.m.Monday — Police arrested Thomas Snyder, 22, on charges he punched a 27-year-old man and kicked the man's 2-year-old daughter during a Friday altercation at the suspect's Maryland Avenue home. Snyder is charged with two counts of simple assault. He is free on $5,000 bail.7:01 p.m. March 9 — Cars driven by Katelyn Kappler, 18, and Katie Muir, 32, both of Butler collided at North and Cedar streets.
Tuesday — Tyler Smith, 25, and Victoria Rodgers, 21, both of Chicora, were charged in connection with the theft of a woman's purse Sept. 20 from Play Makers Bar at the Days Inn on Route 8 South. Smith is charged with theft and receiving stolen property. Rodgers is charged with receiving stolen property.
6:10 p.m. Saturday — A pickup truck illegally driven by a 15-year-old Butler girl struck a house at 154 Bryson Road, just north of Lokhaiser Lane in Connoquenessing Township.The girl's father, Mark W. Bell, 41, of Butler, was riding in the truck and suffered a moderate injury in the crash.Police said the girl faces tickets for careless driving and driving without a license. Bell, who was supervising his daughter, is charged with permitting the girl to drive without a license.2:03 a.m. Saturday — Rocco V. Colonello, 24, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a utility pole along Route 356 near Willow Drive in Summit Township.11:45 p.m. March 8 — James R. Cress Jr., 24, of Renfrew was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 422, about 1Z\x miles east of the Lyndora exit in Butler Township.
11:41 p.m. Feb. 28 — Kelli J. Meer, 44, of Novelty, Ohio, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 near Young Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
