[naviga:h3]Butler tax discount ends Monday[/naviga:h3]

The last day to pay Butler School District real estate taxes at the discount rate is Monday.

John Grenci, city treasurer, said taxes can be paid in person at the City Building by 4:30 p.m. or by mail with a postmark no later than Sept. 30.

[naviga:h3]City leaf drop-off area opens Oct. 13 [/naviga:h3]

Beginning Oct. 13, Butler city residents can begin disposing of leaves at the designated drop off area in Butler Memorial Park.

Signs will direct residents to the area that will be open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends and holidays. The area will be open through the first week of December.

Leaves must be emptied from bags and no materials used to carry the leaves may be left behind.
