SLIPPERY ROCK — Registration is under way for the fall semester at the Institute for Learning in Retirement at Slippery Rock University. The ILR is offering a wide variety of classes and day trips.

Most classes meet in Slippery Rock. There are no books or tests. Some classes and trips are open to all, while others are limited to members who have paid a nominal fee.

Pastor Peter J. Silumula will join the 9 a.m. Wednesday meeting of Butler Christian Ministries at Kings Restaurant, 191 New Castle Road.Silumula lives in Hyderabad, India. He has had active ministry there for more than 25 years.As he will explain India is not the safest place to be a Christian.Space at the meeting is limited. Republican Women Butler County is hosting a free showing of the award-winning film “In Search of Liberty” to celebrate Constitution Day on Tuesday.This family-friendly adventure-fantasy film takes a time travel journey back in history to discover the origins and relevance of the world's greatest document: The US Constitution. Free student Constitution books and refreshments will be available.The movie night will be at Glade Run Church, Route 8, Valencia, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Children should be accompanied by an adult.

JACKSON TWP — Rotary clubs in the Seneca Valley School District area are offering students the opportunity to study and live in another country during the 2020-21 school year as a part of the Rotary Youth Exchange program.Eligible students should be of good character and reputation; be between the ages of 15 and 18½ at time of departure; have above average academic ability; and have a pleasant personality.
