Home Instead Senior Care is collecting basic necessities for senior citizens in their Be A Santa to a Senior program, which runs through Dec. 11.

The program seeks to provide Christmas gifts to area seniors who may not otherwise receive them.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, those interested in donating can log onto BeASantatoaSenior.com and enter their zip code to view wish lists for local seniors.

Amazon Business, which is collaborating with Home Instead in this, the program’s first year, will include a personalized greeting with the order if the donor wishes. The items chosen will be safely delivered to local seniors.

A news release from Home Instead said the program was initiated this year because many seniors feel isolated due to the pandemic.
