EVANS CITY — Have you ever wanted to be in an ice cream truck?

Starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, people of all ages can see, touch and even play in vehicles — such as an ice cream truck, a police car, a firetruck and a backhoe — at the Evans City Public Library’s Touch-A-Truck.

The event, which will run until 8 p.m., will be on Jefferson and South Jackson streets near the library. It drew more than 100 people last year.

While the main attraction will be the equipment, other activities also are planned. A balloon stand and face-painting will be offered, and vendors such as Coffee Break, P&B’s Sweets and Treats and a Marburger truck are available to serve refreshments.

Parking restricted for street cleaning

Parking will be restricted Tuesday on 10 streets in Butler for street cleaning.

The streets with parking restrictions include: Whippo Avenue, Wallula Avenue, West Boyd Avenue, Pleasantview Avenue, Slagle Avenue, Heim Avenue, Spang Avenue, Mackey Avenue, South Monroe Street and College Street.
