Women's Leadership Council Honorees

Leslie Osche

Osche is chairwoman of the county commissioners. In that capacity, she also serves on the corporate and executive boards of the Southwest Pennsylvania Commission, Tri-County Workforce Investment Board, Community Development Corporation and the boards of several other state and local nonprofit organizations. She is treasurer on the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania and the Board of Fellows with the University of Pittsburgh Institute of Politics.

She is a graduate of Butler High School, Duquesne University and Leadership Butler County. Osche has a 30-year career in nonprofit leadership and is the recipient of numerous awards for her leadership and service to the county and region.

Geyer is a county commissioner and along with Osche, represents the first female duo to serve in that capacity in county history. She and Osche visited the White House twice for intergovernmental meetings. Geyer serves on many boards and is the county liaison for the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport Authority, the county Conservation District, the Butler County Community College board of directors, and the Farmland Preservation Board.Geyer has taken an active interest in the county's transportation infrastructure system and economic development. She is a graduate of Mars High School and CCAP's Center for Excellence in County Government.Geyer and her husband of 33 years, Bob, live on a farm in Adams Township with their two dogs, Winston and Pip. They have two grown children, Haley and Seth.

Tripodi is the president and owner of Butler Technologies on West Wayne Street in Butler, which she founded in 1990 with William Darney. The company has transformed through the years from a label, membrane switch, nameplate and print brokerage firm into a printed electronics solution provider. Under Tripodi's guidance, Butler Technologies created a component of the heated jackets worn in 2018 by the U.S. Winter Olympics Team in Pyeongchang, South Korea. She was the first woman to be named William A. Morgan Jr. Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015.Tripodi graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in organizational leadership from Wheeling Jesuit University and has served on several local boards over the years. She currently serves on the boards of the Community Development Corporation and the Catalyst Connection, and served previously on the City of Butler Redevelopment Corporation.

Herman is the vice president of global operational excellence and chief customer officer for MSA Safety, where she is responsible for leading the organization's operations, quality, and customer experience functions across the globe. Since hiring on at MSA 32 years ago as an assistant chemist, Herman has held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility within the organization's research and development, quality, standards compliance and operations groups.Herman, the holder of a bachelor's degree from Bucknell University and a master's degree from Duquesne University, completed the Women's Executive Leadership program at Duquesne and is the executive sponsor of WMSA, MSA's professional organization dedicated to the advancement of women in the workplace. She is a member of the Graduate and Executive Programs Advisory Council for the Palumbo Donahue School of Business at Duquesne, sits on the board of directors of the YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh, and is a certified six sigma green belt.She holds many high profile awards, including a Distinguished Alumna Award from Duquesne University.
