Shearer Bridge preservation project to affect traffic on Route 422 Aug. 17-18

Work on the Shearer Bridge preservation project in Butler and Summit townships will lead to rolling lane closures along Route 422 on Aug. 17 and 18.
The closures are scheduled to occur in 15-minute intervals between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Aug. 17 on Route 422 West, and in the same time frame on Route 422 East the following day. The west closure will occur around the interchange between Route 422 West and Route 38, while the east closure will occur near the interchange with Route 8. In both cases, a crash truck will be in place to enforce the closure.
