Gregory McCauley
Gregory “Greg” David McCauley, 43, of Prospect, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Despite all the adventurous things Greg loved to do, the thing that took his life was simply traveling to work on a Monday morning while riding his beloved 2025 Victory Hammer motorcycle. Greg was turning into work when struck by a vehicle, resulting in significant injuries that lead to his death. A life taken too soon.
Greg was born on July 26, 1982. He is survived by his parents, Deborah and George Frishkorn of Evans City; his grandmother, Joann Yoakum; his siblings, Kaylyn, Shannon, and Jared Frishkorn, Cody Griffith, April Kuhns and Howard “Howie” McCauley; and his beloved fur babies, Rosco, Daisy and Duke, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and an enormous extended family of friends whose lives are better because they knew him.
Greg was preceded in death by his “Pops,” Howard McCauley; grandparents, Etha “Grandma Cookie,” David Yoakum, Martha and George Frishkorn Sr., and Patricia and James McCauley.
Greg was a 2000 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. In 2021, he earned a Computer Numerical Control Program Certification presented by the Manufacturing Assistance Center at the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering.
Greg lived the kind of life that leaves an unforgettable mark on the people fortunate enough to know him. A loyal friend, devoted son and brother, passionate motorsports enthusiast and selfless helper, Greg never met a stranger — only friends he hadn’t made yet.
Whether at the racetrack, in his garage, on the river kayaking or simply out running errands, Greg had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome. If you called him — at any hour — he would drop whatever he was doing to come help. He measured his life not by what he owned, but by how many people he could help. That generosity, loyalty and adventurous spirit defined the way he lived every day.
Greg was the owner and operator of McCauley Contracting since 2014. He was also employed as a shipping manager at Chick Manufacturing. Prior to that, he was a sales consultant at Diehl of Moon Township, where he built lasting friendships with co-workers and customers alike. Before entering automotive sales, he proudly worked alongside his father at Frishkorn Masonry, laying brick and block, a trade that reflected the strong work ethic he carried throughout his life.
For more than 15 years, Greg was deeply involved in the drifting community as a proud member of Club Loose and the Hard Luck Drift Team. He was far more than a talented driver — he was a coach, instructor, mentor and respected member of the community. Greg loved introducing others to the sport and never passed up the opportunity to take someone for a ride-along.
No companion was more faithful than his dog, Rosco. The adventures Greg and Rosco shared became a familiar sight to everyone who followed him on social media, and together they brought smiles to countless people. Their bond reflected Greg’s deep love for animals and the joy they brought into his life.
If someone needed help, Greg simply showed up. Whether repairing a car, fixing something around the house, moving furniture, rescuing someone stranded or simply being there when a friend needed him most, he gave his time, knowledge and heart without hesitation. As an organ donor, he continues to give. Through donation, Greg gifted others a second chance at life.
Though his journey ended far too soon, Greg’s example reminds us all to be generous with our time, loyal to our family and friends, fearless in our adventures and always willing to answer the call when someone needs a hand. While his passing leaves an immeasurable void, the kindness, generosity and unwavering loyalty he gave so freely will continue to inspire those who carry his memory forward. Greg, we will look for you in every sunrise and every sunset.
