Cancilla

Jeffrey D. Cancilla, 55, of Center Township, Butler, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026.

He was the son of the late Thomas and Janice (McQuillan) Cancilla.

Jeff graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and sport management. He loved his time in college and was a loyal WVU fan! After college, Jeff returned to Butler to help manage his family’s commercial roofing company, Cancilla Brothers Inc., where he worked for 31 years.

Time spent with friends and family meant the most to him. He loved hunting, fishing and enjoying campfires at camp.

Jeff leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Jennifer (Burgess) Cancilla; stepchildren, Zach (Sarah) Lovell, Alyssa Lovell and Victoria Lovell; and grandchildren, triplets Carter, Daniel and Eloise, and a grandson on the way; along with many friends and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Cancilla.

In honor of his love for WVU, we remember Jeff with his favorite song: “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

CANCILLA — A celebration of life for Jeffrey D. Cancilla, who died Friday, July 3, 2026, will be held at a later date.
