Gerald Wayne Boring, 70, of Prospect, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Born Dec. 28, 1955, in Spangler, Pa., he was the son of the late William Boring and Leona Mae Garver.

He leaves behind his children, Ken (Sherri) Boring and Aaron (Christine) Boring; his grandchildren, Josh (Veronica), Jordon, Dylan and Brittney; and his great-grandchildren, Hudson and Sophia, who will cherish his memory. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Karen McKay; brothers, Rob (Sally), Eugene and Bill (Betty Lou); his sister, Dorothy (George); his sister-in-law, Debbie; and brother-in-law, Jim Petry.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Cliff; and his sister, Alice.

BORING — Per his wishes, private services for Gerald Wayne Boring, who died Tuesday, June 30, 2026, have been entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

Gerald used music as a defining part of his life and was often found playing his guitar. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gerald’s name to Guitars for Vets, Guitars for Vets Processing Center, 13400 Bishops Lane, Suite 120, Brookfield, WI 53005, Guitars4Vets.org.
