Police: Butler woman strikes, exposes self to Jefferson Township homeowner

A Butler woman is accused of striking a homeowner, refusing police commands to leave a property and exposing herself to homeowners and a camera in Jefferson Township.

State Police charged Robyn Renee Kellington, 42, Wednesday, July 1, with one misdemeanor count each of open lewdness and trespass, and multiple summary charges, following the Tuesday incident.

Police were dispatched at 12:50 p.m. to Oak Leaf Drive for a disturbance. The caller told police a woman, later identified as Kellington, was smacking the outside of a trailer and telling the homeowner to come out and fight. Police said Kellington yelled profanities, destroyed a $135 Ring doorbell camera and then returned to her residence before police arrived.

Police said Kellington admitted to the actions and was told she would be charged if she returned to the residence. She left the scene in a Burgundy vehicle.

Police were dispatched back the scene just over an hour later for reports of a large fight. Before they arrived, police were informed a Burgundy vehicle had fled the scene. The vehicle was located in the parking lot of a nearby grocery store.

While police detained Kellington at the grocery store, another officer went back to the residence and spoke with a different homeowner of the same residence. Police said Kellington and the other homeowner got into an argument, and Kellington struck him in the head. The homeowner retreated onto his property, and Kellington followed him and continued to strike him and yell profanities as he fled toward his front door, police said.

Police said when Kellington arrived at the front door, she lifted her shirt and exposed herself to him before she left.

Kellington is being held in Butler County Prison on a $10,000 bail. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday before District Judge Jack D. Ripper.
