Police: Butler woman steals vehicle outside Clearview Mall
A Butler woman is accused of stealing a vehicle outside Dollar Tree at Clearview Mall in Center Township, state police said.
Carrie Lynn Nolan, 49, was charged Thursday with one felony count each of theft and receiving stolen property and misdemeanor evading arrest following an incident Wednesday.
Police said they were dispatched around 7 p.m. for reports of a Subaru Crosstrek stolen from the Dollar Tree parking lot. A woman at the scene gave officers a description of two women she reportedly saw taking the vehicle.
Police said while driving back to the barracks, they spotted two women who matched the descriptions the woman gave. Police said Nolan and the other woman ran and police tracked Nolan into a neighboring home.
Police said Nolan took the vehicle because she was left at Dollar Tree. Police also recovered the stolen vehicle.
Nolan is being held in Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. July 14 before District Judge Lewis Stoughton.
