A Butler woman is facing a felony charge of theft of a leased vehicle filed by Penn Township police for not returning a vehicle she rented from Enterprise in June.

Tina Marie Davies, 41, was supposed to return the vehicle on May 28, but told Enterprise it had been stolen on June 12, according to an affidavit.

Davies told police a man named Mike was supposed to return the vehicle for her, but did not, and she did not know his last name, but believed he is from the Philadelphia area. She gave police phone numbers for Mike and a man named Sam, who she said is related to Mike, but police said neither phone number was registered to anybody.

Police said the vehicle was detected by a license plate reader June 12 in Chester County.
