A 3-year-old child was found dead Saturday, June 27, in a Mercer County home, according to the coroner.

The child was pronounced dead around 12:15 p.m. inside a Columbia Avenue Home in Greenville, Mercer County, according to Coroner John A. Libonati.

A forensic autopsy was performed by forensic pathologist Todd Luckasevic on Monday, and Libonati said the child’s cause and manner of death will be released when forensic testing is complete.

State police is investigating the incident.
