The Rotary Club of Zelienople has received a Rotary District 7280 matching grant to help pay for 28 street banners on the borough’s Main Street.
The club qualified for the matching grant by meeting criteria, including being in good financial standing, completing required training and selecting a project beneficial to the community.
“The six different banner designs celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary,” said club President Cindy Slayback. “They add color and patriotic pride to Main Street. Despite a production delay, we were able to receive them before Zelienople’s Fourth of July parade this Saturday. It is estimated that 10,000 parade spectators will get to see them.”
