Glenna ‘Jean’ Jones

Jones

Glenna Jean Jones, 85, of Cranberry Township, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Jean was born in Washington, D.C., on May 22, 1940, the first born in the home of Homer and Glenna Briggs Smith.

Jean taught elementary school and pre-kindergarten for 10 years, which was how she met her husband, Dave. They celebrated 61 years of marriage. They have three children — Marti, Katie and Tim — and are proud grandparents of seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. During their life together, they lived in many different states.

Dave and Jean led the Angel Tree program in two of their churches. She worked with the Girl Scouts and was involved as a band mom and a basketball mom. She loved to read, spend time at her piano and once did a lot of sewing for her girls.

Living in a chaotic world, makes a strong relationship with the Lord of utmost importance. Knowing and serving Him is the only way to live this life.
