Butler man accused of assaulting BMH security, technician
A Butler man is accused of assaulting a security officer and a care technician at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Butler Township police charged Troy Jordan Whitmire, 29, Thursday, June 4, with two felony aggravated assault counts following a Tuesday incident.
Police said they responded to the hospital Tuesday and spoke with two employees reportedly assaulted. A security officer said he was kicked in the chest while attempting to restrain Whitmire. A care technician said he was struck in the face while restraining Whitmire, which knocked his glasses off.
Whitmire’s preliminary hearing has yet to be scheduled.
