Shirley Miller
Shirley J. (Allen) Miller, 91, of Parker Personal Care Home, peacefully passed away Tuesday evening, June 2, 2026, while under hospice care.
Born April 9, 1935, in Distant, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Helen K. Hilliard Allen.
She and her first husband, Darl, owned and operated the former Bish’s Market in New Bethlehem, Pa. Upon moving to the Butler area, she worked in housekeeping at Butler Memorial Hospital and worked in the meat department at the former Kroger’s Grocery Store. She enjoyed 25 years of living in Florida prior to returning to the Butler area.
During her lifetime, she attended many different Churches of God and earlier in her life she was active in the Order of the Eastern Star.
She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. She loved planting, growing and selling plants and flowers.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Robert) Dunn, of Chicora; son-in-law, Steve Bolibruck, of Butler; grandchildren Steve (Shannon) Bolibruck III, Lisa (Brian) Birckbichler, Alyson Dunn and Leila Dunn; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Gale Bish, of Florida; and her doggie, Chihuahua Mindy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Bolibruck; granddaughter, Bronya Raisley; infant great-grandson, Shell Hertzig; and her husbands, Darl Bish, Marl Emrick and Dale Miller.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Judy, her home health caregiver for her and her doggie, Mindy, to the Parker Personal Care Home caregivers and to the Amedisys Hospice care team, with special thanks to Tanya for her extra care, concerns and communication with the family.
MILLER — Per her wishes, services for Shirley J. (Allen) Miller, who died Tuesday, June 2, 2026, are private, with inurnment at Oakland Cemetery, Distant, Pa.
Cremation services were provided by RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
