School official: No misconduct found at Armstrong School District
The state police investigation into Armstrong School District has concluded with no evidence of misconduct found, according to the school district.
“While the District cannot comment on individual personnel matters, the Pennsylvania State Police has advised the District that all investigations are complete, and there was no evidence of any misconduct by District staff,” Danielle Panchik, the district’s communication coordinator, said Wednesday, June 3.
“We appreciate the prompt attention by our law enforcement partners tasked with the investigation of this matter,” she said.
Police and the Armstrong County district attorney were investigating an anonymous tip of “alleged misconduct between staff members and former students of Armstrong High School,” District Attorney Katie Charlton said in a Tuesday, June 2, statement.
“All allegations regarding a school district are taken very seriously by law enforcement and thoroughly investigated, as the safety of our children is of the highest priority,” she said.
The district said it was aware of the rumors and has zero tolerance for conduct that compromises student safety or well-being.
“PSP was not involved in removing anyone from school grounds,” according to Troop D public information officer Bertha Cazy.
