Mary Anne Dalmagro, 96, of Butler, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Sunnyview Nursing Center.

She was the daughter of the late Howard Hedrick and Helen (Knopp) Hedrick.

She graduated from Clarion Limestone High School before attending Butler Memorial Hospital School of Nursing to receive her diploma. She worked as an RN for Armstrong County Memorial Hospital for many years before retiring in 1995. She belonged to the BCMH Nurses Alumni. Mary Anne enjoyed reading, spending time with family and playing games with her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Mentch, of Indiana, Pa., Gloria Jean Johnston, of Rimersburg, Pa., Peggy Wilson, of Butler, Nancy Johnson, of Kittanning, and Maryellen Smith, of Butler; and one son, William John Dalmagro, of Butler. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Josh, Marianne, Brian, Karlee, Lindsay, Sarah, Emily, Kristen, Amy, Rebecca, Mikayla, Anthony and Alyssa; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Cora and Casey, Cierra, Roman, Vada, Ava, Lucas, Landon, Natalie and Erik. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Dalmagro, whom she married Sept. 18, 1954, and who passed away Oct. 20, 2016; a brother, Robert Hedrick; a sister, Edna Smith; and a son-in-law, Gerald Mentch.

DALMAGRO — A visitation for Mary Anne Dalmagro, who died Sunday, May 31, 2026, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 4 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Carl Johnson (son-in-law of Mary Anne) officiating.

A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, at Butler County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 218 N. Jefferson St., Kittanning, PA 16201.
