Route 422 resurfacing project to create lane restrictions, closures starting in June
Lane restrictions and a ramp closure will start on the first day of June along Route 422 in Slippery Rock and Muddy Creek townships as part of a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation resurfacing project.
Between June 1 and June 5, the West Park Road on-ramp from Route 422 will be closed for drainage work and paving. In the event of inclement weather, the work will be moved to June 8 through 12.
Between June 1 and July 31, both directions of Route 422 will have right-lane restrictions between the Route 422/I-79 interchange and the Lake Arthur Bridge to allow for drainage work and paving.
Resurfacing work will continue through Oct. 30 from the McConnells Mill Road intersection to West Park Road. Single-lane closures in both directions will occur as needed.
The resurfacing project is estimated to finish in October 2026 at a cost of $5.6 million.
