Police: Lyndora man threatened others with knife
A Lyndora man is accused of swinging a knife and threatening to stab his family members.
Javon Omareo Littlejohn, 23, was charged Sunday, May 10, by Butler Township police with felony aggravated assault, two misdemeanor counts of simple assault and misdemeanor terroristic threats following an incident Sunday, May 10.
Police said they were dispatched to an unspecified location for reports of a man wielding a knife causing a disturbance inside a residence.
Police spoke with three family members at the scene and all said Littlejohn was screaming and throwing items around the house.
One man said when he called 911, Littlejohn picked up a kitchen knife with a six-inch blade and began swinging it while threatening to stab everyone in the area, police said.
Another man said Littlejohn punched him in the face during the incident and swung the knife 3 to 6 inches from him.
Police found the knife on the floor in the residence.
Police said Littlejohn claimed someone in the residence picking on him set him off, but he denied having a knife.
Littlejohn is being held in Butler County Prison on $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday before District Judge Kevin O’Donnell.
