Jon Barton Renno, 89, of Slippery Rock, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, at Grove Manor in Grove City. Jon was born Feb. 26, 1937 in New Castle, and was the son to Barton Renno and Dorothy Daum Renno.

Jon had owned and operated Straub’s Beer Distributor for many years in Slippery Rock and had retired as a plant supervisor at Kennametal. He loved hunting, fishing and stock car racing. More recently he enjoyed working on and driving his ’55 Chevrolet to car cruises. He most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a longtime member of the Bonaire Reunion Car Club.

Jon is survived by his wife, Janet, at home; two sons, Jon B. Renno Jr., of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Jeffrey A. Renno, of Slippery Rock; devoted family friend, (his buddy) Tom McPherson, of Slippery Rock; two sisters, Lynn Renno and Lew, of Haddonfield, N.J., and Susan (Jon) Benton, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and brother-in-law, Chuck Moorhead, of Butler.

RENNO — There will be no public services for Jon Barton Renno, who died Friday, May 8, 2026.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mt. Chestnut.

Arrangements are under the direction of SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Slippery Rock.
