Crews battle house fire on Center Avenue in Butler

An active structure fire in the 900 block of Center Avenue in the City of Butler has closed the road to traffic Sunday morning, May 10.
City of Butler Bureau of Fire, Butler Township Volunteer Fire District, VA Butler Fire and Emergency Services and Butler Ambulance Service were called to the scene around 10:30 a.m. Sunday. City police shut down traffic each way on Center Avenue and near intersections onto the street.
As of 11:45 p.m., Center Avenue remained closed and crews were still battling the fire.
