Superintendent: A-C Valley School District lifts modified lockdown, no threat
The Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District operated its buildings under a modified lockdown Friday, May 8, out of an “abundance of caution,” according to the superintendent.
The district was informed of a “safety concern” by a parent on Friday morning, which prompted a call to state police, Superintendent Dave McDeavitt said Friday around 10:30 a.m.
State police found no credible threat when responding to the district, he said in a later conversation.
The lockdown had been implemented shortly before 10:30 a.m. and remained in effect for about an hour.
