Dominick Richard “Red” LaBella, 90, of Cumberland, R.I., passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026, surrounded in the love of his family at The Miriam Hospital, Providence, R.I.

He was the husband of Ada M. (Carbonneau) LaBella, and they shared 63 years of marriage together.

Born in Butler, he was the son of the late Paul and Margaret (Savannah) LaBella. He resided in Cumberland for most of his life.

Following high school, Dominick entered the U.S. Navy, serving his country honorably and faithfully.

Mr. LaBella was an accountant, and was also the owner of Morrison Typewriter in Providence.

Dominick enjoyed the simple things in life, but most of all loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves his children, Debbie LaBella, of Colorado, Susan Martins, of Florida, and James LaBella and his wife, Melissa Ann, of Arizona; his grandchildren, Brett, Justin, Garrett, Dominick, Bruno, Jack and Jake; and his great-grandson, Julian.

LABELLA — Relatives and friends of Dominick Richard “Red” LaBella, who died Tuesday, May 5, 2026, are kindly invited to his life celebration, to be held with visitation on Friday, May 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. and to continue on Saturday, May 9, at 9 a.m. at J. J. DUFFY FUNERAL HOME, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland, R.I.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland, R.I.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 31805, or to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society of Rhode Island, P.O. Box 22470, New York, NY 10087-2470.
