Young

Patricia Ann Sedelmyer Young, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, while living in Bradenton, Fla., where she had lived with her husband, Larry, since 2017, passed peacefully and entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026.

Pat and her husband were married in 1999 and had resided in Butler and Slippery Rock.

She was born Dec. 20, 1942, the only child of Harry and Ruth Renshaw, in Wesleyville, an Erie community.

A resident of Butler for some 40 years, she worked as a travel agent, then for many years as housekeeper for Father James Murphy at St. Conrad Catholic Church in Meridian.

Pat was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother, known for her tireless and meticulous work ethic, her cooking (soups), compassion, generosity, sense of humor and love for children.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Young; three children, Craig Sedelmyer (Julie), of Houston, Texas, Christine Sedelmyer (Troy), of Florida, and Carrie (Tony) Nunes, of Manassas, Va.; and four grandchildren, Benjamin, Rachel, Abby and Amy.

She will be sadly missed and loved by family and her many Butler friends.
