Ralph E. “PAPA” Allen, 84, of Chicora, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Born Nov. 11, 1941, in Carnegie, Pa., he was the son of the late Ralph Dominic Allen and Anne Stancheck Allen.

Ralph was a field engineer manager for MCI Inc. He was formerly employed at AT&T, RCA and Philco-Ford.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, in which he thoroughly enjoyed traveling throughout the world.

Ralph was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, American Legion Post 642, of Chicora, and Chicora Moose Lodge 962. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing days with his family. He enjoyed his tractors and being outside on the farm. Family trips were important to Ralph — he always enjoyed trips to the beach, jumping waves. He loved animals, especially his dogs and cats.

Ralph was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Over the years, many cherished memories were made with his family. He will be dearly missed in our lives.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce A. Roth Allen, whom he married Sept. 28, 1983; two daughters, Annie Allen and her husband Jim, of Boyers, and Molly Wolfe and her husband, Frank, of Chicora; and six grandchildren, Madison and Andrew Wolfe and Natalie, Sophia, Noah and Josephine Fohl.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

ALLEN — At his request, there was no visitation or services for Ralph E. “PAPA” Allen, who died Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of MARTIN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
