Miller Minutes: ‘We want instant satisfaction’
Have you ever anticipated something with so much enthusiasm you think you may burst?
Impatience is something we all struggle with, myself included. We want to skip past the hard work and get the dopamine hit. We want instant satisfaction.
Artists are no different, but they, more than anyone, have perfected the waiting game. They put hours of work into the piece, the show, the instrument, or the event to get the satisfaction of your reaction. They aim to please, and can only do so if there is a public to appreciate them.
What you’re about to see in this weekend’s lineup is the result of hours of anticipation (and impatience). Each artist, organizer and volunteer has perfected details so you can enjoy our community in ways you never thought possible. Whether that’s through a guided tour of our parks, a showcase of musical talent or a chance to support small business, you’re sure to find a thrill that satiates.
