Marilyn Jursa
Marilyn (Dovey) Lewetag Jursa, 93, of Clinton Township, died Thursday, April 23, 2026, at her home.
She was born Sept. 1, 1932, in Homestead, daughter of the late Harry and Frances (Bowden) Dovey. She grew up in Homestead, moving to Clinton Township in her early teens, graduating from Winfield High School in 1950.
She married her first husband, Albert Lewetag, and after his early death on Sept. 6, 1956, in a coal mining accident, she moved back to Clinton Township. A few years later, she met her second husband, Stephen J.D. Jursa, enjoying a 53-year marriage until his passing in 2015.
She was of Presbyterian faith. She was an accomplished bowler, bowling in several traveling leagues, she enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Pymatuning, gardening, cooking, attending her grandchildren’s events, especially “Grandma Day,” singing happy birthday to all who she called on their birthday and watching the Steelers.
She is survived by her children, Diane (Dennis) Hinderliter, of Winfield Township, and Robert Lewetag, of Clinton Township. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Erik Lewetag, Cavan Hinderliter, Cullen (Cheyenne) Hinderliter and Calla (Derek) Ort; and two great-grandchildren, Millie and Myles Ort.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Lewetag; her second husband, Stephen J.D. Jursa; her granddaughter, Melissa Lewetag; and her siblings, William (Joan) Dovey and Thomas (Delores) Dovey.
JURSA — At her request, a private viewing, funeral service and burial were held for Marilyn (Dovey) Lewetag Jursa, who died Thursday, April 23, 2026.
Arrangements were entrusted to SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township.
