Calhoon

Kathleen “Kate” Anne (Lunn) Calhoon, 73, of Butler, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital, following a battle with cancer.

Born May 17, 1952, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Elmer L. and Arta J. (Klotz) Lunn.

Kate retired from University Medical Center, Las Vegas, Nev., in 2014. Kate enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her daughter, Sheri L. Hemmes, of Las Vegas; her son, Stephen E. Hemmes, of Las Vegas; one granddaughter, Heather Miller (Kevin), of Las Vegas; two brothers, James Lunn (Margie), of Butler, and Mark Lunn (Elaine), of Fenelton; four sisters, Paula Barcic (Brian), of Punta Gorda, Fla., Beth Miller and Sue Courson (Ray Sherge), both of Butler, and Alice Lunn (Ray Achesinski), of East Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Calhoon, of Las Vegas; her parents, Elmer L. and Arta J. Lunn; a sister, Cynthia S. Lunn; and two brothers, Raymond D. and Robert L. Lunn.

Burial will be private.
