James ‘Jim’ Wylie

James “Jim” Bryan Wylie, 70, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2026, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer at Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born April 19, 1955, son of the late Robert and Mary “Thelma” (Shira) Wylie.

Jim was a dedicated registered nurse in the intensive care unit at Butler Memorial Hospital for 33 years until his retirement. He had a true heart for caregiving, not only for his patients, but for his family and friends as well.

Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Summit Township Sportsman’s Club.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Chris) Juszczak; his sister, Laura Wylie; brothers, David and William Wylie; his former wife, Tammy; former stepchildren, Karyssa and Dakota; his beloved dog, Maggie; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ronald Venturini; and grandmother, Edna Shira.

Stephanie extends her heartfelt gratitude to his closest friends, who went above and beyond helping Jim during his illness.

WYLIE — All services for James “Jim” Bryan Wylie, who died Thursday, April 16, 2026, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
