William ‘Barry’ Collins
William Barry Collins, 93, of Butler, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 9, 1932, in Harrison Township, Allegheny County, a son of the late Clarence and Olga (Michnuk) Collins.
Mr. Collins was a graduate of Har-Brack High School, and a proud graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a degree in metallurgy. He later graduated from Lehigh University with an MBA.
He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
On May 14, 1960, he married the love of his life, Sara Jean (Weaver) Collins. They enjoyed over 60 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on Oct. 2, 2020.
W. Barry was employed by various companies throughout his career as a metallurgist, dedicating many years of his life as a sales representative for the TASA corporation in Pittsburgh, where he sold railroad joints. He later retired from L.B. Foster company, Pittsburgh.
Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Collins; parents, Clarence and Olga Collins; and grandson, Zane A. Collins.
He is survived by sons, Gregg W. Collins, of Butler, and Gary T. Collins, of Columbus, N.C.; and grandchildren, Ian, Jared, Nicholas and Samantha Collins.
