Betty Kreutz
Betty Grace Kreutz, 81, of West Liberty Borough, Slippery Rock, passed away at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, on Monday, March 30, 2026.
She was born in Butler on Jan. 30, 1945, to Charles Lloyd Wolford and Mildred Margaret Twentier Wolford.
She was married to Raymond Louis “Pooch” Kreutz, whom she married May 8, 1965, and who preceded her in death June 21, 2017.
She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
Betty was serving as mayor of West Liberty Borough and had served in the borough as judge of elections for over 30 years. She was a member of West Liberty United Methodist Church. She enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, attending car shows with husband, “Pooch” and keeping him in line for years.
Survivors include three sons, Todd A. (Janet) Kreutz and Scott A. (Shari) Kreutz, all of Slippery Rock, and Jamie A. (Debbie) Kreutz, of Portersville; brother, Charles Lloyd Wolford Jr.; sister-in-law, Angela Kay Wolford; half brother, Daniel L. (Terri J. Makis) McDeavitt III, all of Slippery Rock; six grandchildren, Trent, Todd Wolfgang, Drake, Kennedy, Jordyn and Braydon; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Daniel “Buck” McDeavitt; and sister, Bonnie Sue Wolford.
KREUTZ — The family of Betty Grace Kreutz, who died Monday, March 30, 2026, will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 3, and from noon until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.
There will be a funeral at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at the funeral home, led by Pastor James Roxbury, pastor of West Liberty United Methodist Church.
Interment will be in West Liberty Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the West Liberty United Methodist Church.
