Thank you visiting utility workers
During the recent windstorm, a large, old tree fell on the power lines that service our lane, cutting off power to three families for three days.
I had the good fortune to be on scene when a crew of six workers arrived to repair the damage. They worked diligently through the cold rain and wind and the snow shower which followed. I overheard the radio conversation between the workers and supervisors and noticed their southern accents.
As the trucks exited after repairs had been completed, I saw that the crew was from “Southern States Utility” which covers Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia. The crew had traveled all the way from the Deep South to help us in Western Pennsylvania, and I want to express my sincere thanks for their efforts.
