Kelly doesn’t have the answers
I read the Butler Eagle’s March 10 interview with U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, (“Kelly focused on affordability,” March 15, Page A1) and couldn’t believe what I was reading.
After 15 years in Congress, Kelly still can’t explain how he plans to help Butler County families. In the interview, he admitted he doesn’t know that “we can look at anything and say we can stabilize this.”
After 15 years in Washington, that’s his answer?
Families here don’t have the luxury of shrugging our shoulders about rising costs. We deal with it every day at the grocery store, the gas pump and the doctor’s office. We expect our representative to fight for solutions, not admit he has none.
If, after 15 years in Washington, Congressman Kelly’s message is that he doesn’t know what to do, then he’s telling us exactly why it’s time for a change.
Butler County deserves leadership with the energy and commitment to fight for working families. After 15 years, it’s time for Mike Kelly to retire.

Butler
