Police: Woman enters home, assaults resident
A Butler woman is accused of entering a woman’s home on Hickory Street and assaulting her, police said.
Christina Leann Huskins, 39, was charged Wednesday, March 11, by Butler police with felony burglary and misdemeanor simple assault following a reported fight.
Police said they were dispatched to a residence on Hickory Street and found a woman who had been assaulted. The woman told police Huskins had arrived at her home unannounced and banged on the door.
The woman said when she went downstairs to open the door, she saw Huskins open the door and enter her home.
Police said Huskins proceeded to strike, shove and kick the woman.
The woman had pain in her face and head from the fight and from striking her head on the ground when she was shoved, police said. There was also a scratch with light bleeding on her elbow, police said.
Huskins’ preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. March 23 before District Judge William Fullerton. She’s being held in Butler County Prison on a $5,000 bail.
