Several fire companies responded to a single-story residential structure fire Sunday night, Feb. 8, in Winfield Township.

The fire was reported at about 11:25 p.m. in the 500 block of Bicker Road, and a second alarm was requested within 15 minutes.

Heavy fire was reported from two sides of the structure, according to reports made to Butler County Emergency Services.

Crews were on the scene for four-and-a-half hours.

Responding companies included the Buffalo Township, Herman, Sarver and Saxonburg volunteer fire companies, Saxonburg EMS, South Buffalo Township and Worthington-West Franklin volunteer fire departments, Harrison Hills Volunteer Fire Company and Summit and Kittanning 6 hose companies.
