A chicken coop was reported to be on fire Thursday morning, Jan. 22, in Clay Township.

The two-alarm fire was reported around 9:45 a.m. in the 300 block of Byers Road. The fire had also ignited the neighboring woods and was endangering a nearby residence.

West Sunbury Volunteer Fire Department, Unionville Volunteer Fire Company, Prospect Volunteer Fire Department, Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Team and Butler Ambulance Service initially responded.
