GoFundMe set up for victims of Buffalo Township fire
A GoFundMe has been set up to support the Stover family of Buffalo Township, who lost their home on Sarver Road in a fire on Tuesday morning, Dec. 15.
The fundraiser, which was activated on Tuesday afternoon, was set up by Suzanne Conger, a lifelong friend of the Stover family. As of Friday afternoon, Dec. 19, the fundraiser has pulled in $3,755 of its goal of $4,500 after three days, with 49 donations.
“They currently do not have any belongings except the clothes on their backs,” Conger wrote on the GoFundMe page. “Even their cellphones were lost in the fire.”
In addition to funds, Conger is also asking the community for items of clothing to replenish those the family lost in the fire, including shoes of size 11, 9, 8, 8.5 and 5.
