WINFIELD TWP — Thursday night’s meeting of the Winfield Township Board of Supervisors was a retirement celebration for longtime Supervisor Glenn Nagle, who decided not to run for reelection this year after a 30-year run on the board.

“All I can say is I enjoyed serving the people,” Nagle said when the meeting adjourned. “And that’s what everyone needs to keep in mind. People come first, not us.”

Rob Moser, who ran unopposed in the November general election for the open seat created by Nagle’s decision, will succeed him on the board at the start of 2026.

Nagle’s retirement will break up the supervisor trio at Winfield Township, which also includes Matthew Klabnik and Michael Robb. The three had served together since 2013. Thursday night’s meeting was their last as a unit.

In Klabnik’s parting remarks, the first thing he mentioned about Nagle was his knowledge of Winfield Township.

“Lots of townships have what’s called a ‘geographic information system,’” Klabnik said. “We have a ‘Glenn Information System.’ He knows where the pipes are buried. He knows where the stormwater catch basins are.”

Nagle’s wife, Donna, previously served as tax collector for the township until she, too, retired in January. A retirement party was held for both of the Nagles at Winfield Township’s banquet hall in October.
