For this holiday season, Experience Butler County — formerly the Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau — is making some changes to its annual gift certificate program.

Starting this year, the program is transitioning from paper gift certificates to plastic gift cards.

Those who still have unused paper certificates can have theirs exchanged for an equivalent plastic gift card at the Experience Butler County office in Zelienople. Some businesses will continue to accept paper certificates, in addition to plastic gift cards, for the time being.

The certificates are accepted at over 100 Butler County businesses.
